Suddenly it has become “fashionable” to announce to the whole
world that you are in a relationship:-). I think It must be really nice to
receive congratulations or messages of support. Either that or you get a ton of
“likes” and shares:-) I mean It turns into a major news story...But what’s even
funnier is how quickly these statuses change from “single” to “in a
relationship” to “it’s complicated” and back to “single” again. They post a picture of
themselves and their new boyfriend looking happy together, and then announce to
the Face book public that, we are no longer in love...
Does it really matter if someone
confirms they are in a relationship on face book or anywhere else? I don't see
any reason to announce to people you don't associate with in REAL life that you
are now seeing someone:-) To me a relationship is sacred. It’s something
private between two people. But I also know that for SOME people this can be a
BIG deal as in people break-up because they other person refused to change
their FB relationship status... I think sometimes technology can cause a lot of
problems in relationships than it can solve:-)
Truth be told! It's better to
BUILD in a relationship outside face book because not everyone is genuinely
happy for you when you are in a relationship or about to get married... So Next
time before you splash your relationship all over Face think about the reasons
you are doing it in the first place. Are you looking for social validation? Is
it an insecurity thing? I just don’t see the point. What do you think?
